Horry County Fire Rescue Wins Safety Video Contest

Horry County Fire Rescue was recently awarded a Bullard T-4 Max Thermal Imaging Camera, valued at more than $10,000 for winning a Safety Video Contest, Everyone Goes Home® sponsored by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) and Fireman's Fund Insurance.

This highly-competitive contest was open to fire departments all over the United States, in which they were to create and submit a video highlighting the importance of at least one of the 16 Life Safety Initiatives. The video promoted the following initiatives:

  • Life Safety Initiative #2- Enhance the personal and organizational accountability for health and safety throughout the fire service.
  • Life Safety Initiative #6- Develop and implement national medical and physical fitness standards that are equally applicable to all firefighters, based on the duties they are expected to perform.
