Our History

On July 1, 2001, Horry County Fire Deparment and Horry County EMS merged into Horry County Fire Rescue.  This merger made the department the largest in South Carolina.  Below you will find the previous Chief/Director of the two departments.  Please click on the Horry County Fire Department and the Horry County EMS logo to view a history of each of those departments.
