Each year in the United States an estimated 2,800 children age 14 or younger are injured and 850 killed in residential fires.  Of these children, over 40 percent are under the age of five, 70 percent are under the age of 10.  Because of this, Horry County Fire Rescue is dedicated to the safety and well-being of our children and our communities.  We support many agencies and their desire to teach the youth of today to live in a safer environment.  Please, take the time to explore the following sites and help us keep your child safe.  Feel free to contact our Public Education Department at 843.915.7061 for any additional information or to schedule an event.
